 The Student Led Conference is here. Are you going to come? The parent conference takes place at 4/17/12. You can come at 1:30-3:30 and 5:00-7:00. Are you nervous about your grades?

CST-Basketballers

The CST’s are coming on May 7-11. We interviewed some students and teachers about tips and how well they think they will do on the CST’s. One tip for math is to finish the easy problems first to get them out of the way. One tip for English is to read all of the directions. The CST’s determine which classes you will get next year, whether its honors English or advancing to algebra or geometry. We hope you will succeed in getting proficient or advanced.

Cinco De Mayo

Cinco De Mayo celebrates the victory between the French; the French lost over 500 men in war. As for Mexico they lost fewer than 100 men. Over all Mexico got their independence and celebrated that day that is known as Cinco De Mayo. That day is when everyone can celebrate Mexican culture.

Mother's Day - Samurai

 Samurai –We interviewed people on our campus about Mother’s Day and asked about their opinions and what they are going to do to make their mom happy on that special day. We also researched and listed on what good gifts or good deeds you can do for your mother. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.!!

Nightingale MS has an after school program called Los Angeles Conservation Corps. You can come to get help or to play with friends. There are staff members that can help you with your homework. When you are done you can play videogames. You can also use laptops LACC has. Sometimes they have raffles and you could win really cool stuff. It is really fun to be in the afterschool program. Hope You Join!

Star writing test

7th grade students are taking the writing part of the CST. It is 90 minutes long and there is an essay to be written. Some students say the time is either too long or too short to write the essay.
