Terror in Haiti
Haiti has been struck by a 7.0 earthquake last week on Tuesday January 12, 2010. 3 million people are desperate for help. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. There are 7 thousand corpses ready for disposal. Many countries have sent help by donating money, medicine, and military help. They are currently feeding 8 thousand people in Haiti. 50% of Haiti’s buildings were destroyed. About 45,000—100,000 people in Haiti are calculated dead. More than 1,500 people are being treated to by contributing doctors. 6-12 million gallons of water are needed for the people of Haiti to drink. Many people from around the world have volunteered to help Haiti by searching for any survivors in the ruins. If you want to help Haiti and its people, donate money or other stuff to the Red Cross Foundation.
